Some of us will remember The Jetsons, an animated sitcom about a space age family.  The Jetson’s home was chock-full of gadgets that simplified household tasks and seamlessly connected the Jetsons to the outside world.  When the show debuted in the 1960s, it was entertaining to consider the possibility of video phones and robotic vacuum cleaners but nobody actually had them.  How things have changed.

The Lone Star Chapter of AEE invites you to join our September 2018 luncheon meeting to hear how technical innovations related to energy, security and convenience are working their way into the residential sector.  Wayne Morrison manages Reliant’s Smart Home, which is used by Reliant to gain practical, hands-on experience with technologies ranging from home automation, smart appliances, distributed energy generation and storage, and more.  Wayne will talk about some of these technologies and share insights developed through integrating and monitoring them.
