The AEE Lone Star Chapter invites you to come to our February luncheon meeting to hear Greg Norris explain how the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is using data to drive efficient operation of its facilities.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is known for pioneering cancer research and innovative clinical care. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is also practicing innovation through the way it collects energy and operational information about its facilities and then converts the data into energy efficiency and operational improvements. Join us to hear how relevant and actionable energy reports and tools are used to promote demand side efficiency efforts and new energy strategies at MD Anderson.

Presenter Biography

Greg Norris has been with MD Anderson for 11 years. He currently serves as Manager, Energy and Utility Programs, within the Environmental Health Safety and Corporate Services organization at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.  He is responsible for managing utility contracts and implementing hedging strategies to meet budget goals and manage risk for a $50+ million energy budget needed to supply more than 15 million square feet of facilities. Greg helps create and maintain tools that support energy efficiency and strategies.

Greg received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas. Prior to joining MD Anderson, Greg developed comprehensive energy performance contracts with Sempra Energy Solutions (formerly CES/Way). Greg mentioned that he loves college football and cooking. He has a personal goal for his two kids to want to eat something other than chicken and corn.
